I love fashion, but the next best thing to a closet full of beautiful clothes is a makeup bag filled with amazing makeup. I am a huge proponent of investing in great foundations, primers, concealers... the list goes on really. When it comes to your face and skin, taking the time to look through products and understand the ingredients that are in them is of the utmost importance.
Apart from having a great base for you skin, taking the time to shape and care for your brows is an important step to take as well. After all, the eyebrows shape your eyes, which are the windows to your soul. With so many great products out there, I was on the search for a product that is not only affordable, but is also made out of great ingredients. Introducing my new favorite eyebrow product by Black Bamboo!
The product itself comes with a split pan. One side is the brow powered pigment, on the other is the wax pomade. The utensil itself comes in a uni-carton and the has an angled brush on one end accompanied by a spoolie on the other. The brush itself is lightweight, since it is made from Bamboo, but feel luxurious and sleek. The angled brush makes it easy to fill in the eyebrows, and since the bristles are so densely packed, the pigment from the pan goes a long way. The pigment itself is very pigmented, which causes some fall out, but it's base is buttery and soft which helps to seamlessly bled into ones eyebrows without the look of "make up."
The nice thing about this product is that it comes with the wax pomade already in the pan. Some days you want to go full out, and others you just want a quick swipe of pomade to keep your brows into place, and the best part is that this product has both!
Compared to Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder, the consistency is similar. Anastasia's products are densely packed and have a buttery base, which makes applying the product a breeze. While I feel that the Black Bamboo product has also a creamy base, a little goes a long way with black Bamboo compared to Anastasia. The only draw back is that Anastasia's brow powder pans have two different colors to reach that perfect brow shade, while Balck Bamboo's split pan is one half pigment and one half pomade. However, if your looking to purchase only one product, this would be the item for you.
The best part about Black Bamboo is that the ingredients are all natural! The pomade itself has Jojoba oil, which means not only are your brows staying in place but they also get the benefits of a great oil conditioner.
If you're looking to invest in a new brow product, but don't want to splurge on two separate products, this is the perfect starter pack to beginner brows.
