I am currently surrounded by the color blue, and this post is definitely highlighting that fact. Have you ever been surrounded by a color? No…
Anyways, the water can be a wonderful place during the summer since keeping cool is always my number one priority.
The look I paired here is a simple cotton strapless top and some blue gingham pants. The colors, while not the same shade of blue, are complimentary enough to be cohesive. The different patterns also work well together since one pattern does not fight too much with the other. The subdued gingham pant, and the larger print of the shirt, balance off each other easily.
Patterned garments are one of the most daunting pieces to play with, while also being one of the most rewarding aspects of fashion. Whenever I see a pattern come into play, I immediately get excited. While I am more of a black-on-black-on-black type of chick, I do secretly love wearing color filled patterns to break up the urbanite closet I have curated. When an outfit with patterns are paired seamlessly, the end result can feel like a major feat. It is one thing to pair a pattern and another thing to feel confident in it.
While I work to ease out of my shell, MODA can help me with color inspo and ideas for pattern pairs along the way. With this look I feel ready for a day out, no matter where I’m taken.
I’m ready to dive right in.
