Ahhh San Fransisco.
What a joy it was to take a quick weekend getaway to the land up north.
I was fortunate enough to take a trip up to a new city with a friend of mine. We saw the sights, met the people, did the shopping, you know...the usual travel stuff, but most importantly we were able to take a quick break from the hum-drum of it all and sit on other people's lives for a bit.
It's always so fascinating to me when I travel, that the place I am visiting is someone's everyday routine. The backed up streets is a hassle to someone running late, whereas it's an excuse for me to see the city from a more comfortable view for a few minutes more. The shiny buildings housing all the tech gods are a livelihood for others while a point of gawking for me, and the brunch place I am enjoying for the first time is someone's go-to brunch spot every weekend.
It's wild to me that we can travel and explore and find different ideas and perspectives from people not even in a different country form us. Exploring is much needed for the soul, and something I hope to do more of.
As far as this look goes, it's a simple all black ensemble. Now, I haven't worn this much black since college, and I found myself rather suffocated in the dark color rather than liberated. What does that mean...Am I happier? Am I feeling lighter? Am I not as in love with the monochromatic tone?
Whatever the reason, I' m just glad to be feeling light on my feet and optimistic about the next few months! Whether I'm wearing all black, or not.
