Ahhh Venice. What a quaint little city of water you are. How romantic it is when it rains and thunders, and you're caught in a cute little cafe for two hours ❤️ Really though, that happened on the reg.
Regardless, Venice was a beautiful little city that literally felt like something out of a storybook. Like, how are the streets water? How!? People really transport by boat? AH, so enchanting.
The food was amazing, the people were sweet, and the the boys...UGH. So cute! However, more importantly, the shopping was to die for. There were so many unique pieces to be found, which I did find, I did buy and you will all see later as it starts to get cooler because I am a chronic sweatshirt purchaser.
While Venice was a dream, these pictures were not taken there, they were taken in Burano! The island of Burano is a cute little land off the shore of Venice. The colors of the buildings were unlike anything I've ever seen. They were so saturated in color and full of character, which is something I think California lacks. It reminded me that we are all beautiful in our differences, and we all have a touch of color to put out in this world. Without the beautiful pink house next to the deep blue house, there would be no wonderment.
So often we look to become like those right next to us, that we forget we can offer something completely different and special in its own way, and what a blessing it is that we can do that, in whatever way we see fit! No matter if our shutters don't match our walls, or if our flowers are too overgrown. If we love it. So be it.
This post may be more inspired than intended, but that's just to distract from the fact that I was super sick and it shows in these pictures. Travel is no joke, people. Also, this outfit is oddly uninspired. Like, way to go Emily, another 👏 basic 👏 outfit👏
Don't worry though, I have some fire coming up for those of you in the back...
Or maybe I don't...
Just set your expectations low so I can really dazzle you...mmmkay? 😉
