A theme this week is fall, but more appropriately: Fall Trends. While I have been scrolling through Vogue and Bazar, and keeping up with fashion notifications by the likes of many bloggers fortunate enough to have a snapchat account and to snag a seat in the front row, there is one designer that immediately made me take pause: Anna Sui.
Now, Anna Sui ain't no new business. She has been around for a hot minute, but something about this runway show felt revamped. Was it because Bella Hadid posted a picture? Was it because we can't talk about anyone unless a Hadid slinks down their runway?
While there is a western vibe laced in amongst the florals and whisper thin silks, there is something magical and new about the whole collection. It does't try too hard, it doesn't apologize and it doesn't demand anything from you. It's a "come as you are, stay as you like," kinda gig, and I'm digging it.
While I've seen many runways and kept up with many designers over the years, Anna Sui is one that I've always admired and heard of from afar, but never really gave much thought or time. However, she has demanded and received my full attention this Fall and I could;t be more happy about it. She has delivered a wonderful show, and I am pleased to share it with you all! I think her pieces are a little edgy, a little Bohème, and offer endless inspiration for the upcoming months.
And, also, it's just fun.
