Can we pretend I’m on the Spanish Steps? Furthermore, can we pretend that I know what the Spanish steps look like and that this is in fact not far from what they look like? Actually, can I just be in Spain now?
Wishes…wishes… Any who, this is such a fun linen dress, no? While it may be a size or so too large, when I saw it I could not leave It behind. It kinda has some Spanish flair with maybe a hint of Greek influence? I love anything blue and white, as we know, and I love that this dress incudes a beautiful blue and white embroidery, all atop a breathable linen textile. It’s so soft and comfortable, every time I throw it on I forget how fun it is to wear. You ever have that one item of clothing? It looks really pretty on the hanger, but you’re like “Mmm, too fussy,” then you throw it behind you and keep moving? This dress is that for me, and I’m happily pleased to find that it is in fact not fussy every time I wear it. The butterfly-like sleeves ( is that even a thing, let’s do more pretending) makes it perfect for those hot sticky days. The linen fabric is able to pick up a breeze, even if there isn’t one, and maintains its shape and structure. No wrinkles here.
It also perfect for a day out, or for a night about town. Paired with some gold pieces, fun shoes and a cute bag, you’re pretty much on your way to a fun filled summer adventure. Also, can we talk about these cute shoes. They are the Sam Edelman shoes from last year, but I still love and am obsessed with them, and these ones are silk! I don’t think I have had silk shoes, especially by way of mule. So fascinating, I know.
So whether you are on the Spanish steps, or on the steps of your local strip mall, a linen dress is a must to keep you cool (and fuss free) during the summer.
