Okay. So every year I love to imagine in my head an ideal date scenario for two holidays exclusively. One for Christmas and one for Valentines day.
The Christmas fantasy is way more elaborate and costly than the Valentine’s Day daydream. Usually Christmas involves a walk down Rodeo on a particularly cool crisp winter day, with peacoats and hot chocolates as we peruse the new selection of love bracelets at Cartier and the the glimmering goodies at Van Cleef and Arples, topped of by a delicious sundae in the hidden gardens of Beverly Hills (yes they exist, and no I will never tell).
While visions of that dance through my head in the new winter months, something a little more low key and fun, but glam at all the same time, swims into my mind come February. I always imagine the same date scenario for V Day. Hidden hot gem of LA, so new people have only barely begun to hear of it, all dim lighting, I’m talking nightlight status, a single rose on every table in beautiful crystal vase. Food includes a small but constant stream of deliciously decadent courses all paired with a cute little dress to match the mood.
Even though February still means freezing temps, I imagine the venue will be toasty warm with a nice big fire place of the French chateau variety, to keep the place cozy and warm.
So if I did have a date, and was whisked away to this elusive dream place, these options above and below would be my first choices. I’m a sucker for the heart earring trends as of late, and I don’t care how blatantly obvious it is. Also, I love pale blush and ethereal fabrics, and when the two come together…it’s the ultimate fantasy. There is something so romantic and delicate about the whole thing.
Isn’t that what February is all about?
